Trinbago Knight Riders beat Jamaica Tallawahs by 7 wickets

That is all we have from this game. The action now continues on 7th September. We will witness the clash between Jamaica Tallawahs and Trinbago Knight Riders at 10 am Local (2 pm GMT). Do join us for the same. Till then, take care and goodbye!
Kieron Pollard, the skipper of Trinbago Knight Riders, is up for a chat. He says, he is pleased with the two points. Mentions it has been a hot and cold season for them. Adds that hopefully, this win gets the winning momentum into their side. Adds that their bowling was right on the money but they need to get better with their bat. Mentions that Simmons showed that he is a class player and Munro partnered really well with him.
Rovman Powell, the skipper of Jamaica Tallawahs, says that Trinbago Knight Riders bowled well but it wasn't a bad pitch to bat on. Adds that the dropped catches cost them and they need to get that right. Says that Chadwick Walton and Shamarh Brooks are getting better and they will likely be ready for the next game.
Lendl Simmons wins the Man of the Match award for his brilliant knock with the bat. He says that it was a better pitch today and says his catching gave him confidence in today’s game. Mentions that in the first five games the pitch was a bit difficult. But it was a good batting pitch in this game. Adds it was a good stand with Munro and that they had to play together for the team, and he is glad that it worked. Mentions their team spirits are high and they will pick up momentum when the time is right.
Not much to talk about when it comes to Jamaica Tallawahs. They did not have the biggest of total on the board and even dropped three catches in the innings. Imad Wasim took 2 wickets and went for only 19 runs. But honestly, they did not have enough runs on the board. Trinbago Knight Riders would have ended up chasing a lower target if Carlos Brathwaite, Imad Wasim and Andre Russell hadn't saved the batting of Jamaica Tallawahs.
Trinbago Knight Riders lost Sunil Narine quite early and after that, there was a rain break. But after that, Lendl Simmons and Colin Munro stitched a 100-run stand to take them to a very comfortable position. Simmons was severe on the bowlers and scored 70 runs at a strike rate of over 150. Both these batters fell towards the end, but their job was already done. Kieron Pollard and Darren Bravo put on the finishing touches and made sure that Trinbago Knight Riders get over the line.
A thumping win for Trinbago Knight Riders. They have completely dominated the game and should be mighty proud. Jamaica Tallawahs came back after being 15/5 with the bat, but their bowling was put under the hammer.
