Right then, that’s it from this game but the action continues in the Caribbean Premier League, 2023. The Trinbago Knight Riders will take on the Barbados Royals at Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad tomorrow. That game will begin at 4.30 am IST (11.00 pm GMT, the previous day). But as know, you can always join us early for the build-up. Until then, goodbye and cheers!

Praises Azam Khan for his effort today with the bat and in the field. Closes by thanking the crowd and the fans back in Guyana.
Kieron Pollard, the skipper of Trinbago Knight Riders says they have been trying different things, and sending Akeal Hosein up in the order was just a part of that. Adds that he is not concerned with a defeat as the team is playing a really good brand of cricket and these things happen in cricket. Informs that they are looking to rectify the mistakes and improve on them. Closes by saying that they were 10-15 runs short today and for them it is all about them improving with each passing game.

Adds that he is loving his batting performance and senior players are helping him a lot by guiding him through it all. Closes by mentioning that Shai Hope is an experienced player and having him alongside did wonders for him.
Time for the post-match presentation...
Earlier today, Trinbago Knight Riders posted 172 for 8 on the back of important knocks from Lorcan Tucker, Akeal Hosein, and Kieran Pollard. The Knight Riders struggled in the first half of their innings but did well to get to a reasonable total. Odean Smith was the pick of the bowlers for the Warriors with 3 for 31 while Tahir, Keemo Paul, and Shepherd chipped in with one apiece. A convincing win for the Guyana Amazon Warriors takes them to the top of the points table.
Not a lot to talk about the Knight Riders bowling. Russell and Ali Khan chipped in with 2 apiece but their spinners failed to contain or pick wickets. The Trinbago Knight Riders will need to regroup and come back with a better effort in front of their home crowd.
Guyana Amazon Warriors have nailed the target with 5 balls to spare and won comprehensively by 6 wickets. Chasing 173 for the win, the Warriors lost Chandrapaul Hemraj early in the chase. Saim Ayub and Shai Hope added 93 for the second wicket and set the platform for the visitors. Ayub departed for a 43-ball 62 but Hope carried on and notched up his fifty. Azam Khan and Shimron Hetmyer provided the finishing touches and got the job done with ease. Guyana Amazon Warriors get their fourth win in a row and are unbeaten this season.
