That's it from this entertaining contest. The next match is coming your way shortly at 5 pm local (11.30 am GMT) and it is the clash between Chattogram Challengers and Minister Group Dhaka. Both teams lost their opening game of the season and would be eager for a win. Do join us for all the action. Cheers!
Imrul Kayes, the victorious captain of Comilla Victorians, says that he is happy to win the match but admits that they were not up to the mark with the bat. Feels that it's just the start and they were a bit rusty. Praises Nahidul Islam for his spell, especially against the right-handers and also appreciates Tanvir Islam for his economical bowling. Mentions that they have a strong batting side and it's all about adjusting to the conditions.
For bowling figures of 4-0-20-2 and crucial 16 runs with the bat, Nahidul Islam is chosen for the Player of the Match award.
Mosaddek Hossain, the captain of Sylhet Sunrisers, says that his bowlers were spot on and showed their brilliance on this pitch. Tells that if the wicket is supportive, you just need to bowl in good areas. Feels that they were 10-15 runs short.
Presentational time...
Comilla Victorians will be happy to begin their campaign with a win but they have a lot of work to do. On the bowling front, they shot out the opposition for only 97 but at the same time, also conceded 19 extras. That nearly came back to haunt them during the chase. Needless to say, the batters will have to pull up their socks as this kind of performance is unacceptable while chasing a paltry target. A good early wake-up call for them!
The bowlers from both sides had a fantastic day. The pitch was spicy and it had assistance for the spinners and the seamers. To an extent, it was tough for batting but the wickets fell more due to bizarre shot selections. Chasing a target of 97, Comilla Victorians kept on losing wickets at regular intervals and no batter thought about standing there and getting the job done. The likes of Mosaddek Hossain, Sohag Gazi and Nazmul Islam were exceptional in building the pressure as they combined for 7 wickets and were very economical too. They are unfortunate to finish on the wrong side of the result but for that, their batters need to be blamed.
Phew, what a low-scoring humdinger! Comilla Victorians have huffed and puffed past the victory line. To be honest, they made a mountain out of a molehill. It was a simple straightforward chase but by playing reckless shots they made it interesting and almost snatched defeat for themselves. Credit goes to Sylhet Sunrisers for putting up a brave fight with the ball but their batting too was dismal and had they got another 20-30 runs, the result of this match could have been different. One of those games where no team deserved to win.

Another wide and it's an anti-climatic finish to this thrilling game! Short in length and down the leg side, Tanvir Islam lets it through and the umpire exercises his arms. Comilla Victorians win by 2 wickets!

Back of a length, around middle, helped in front of square leg for a run. 2 needed more.

Oh, dear! What was that? Kesrick Williams switches to 'round the wicket and perhaps looks for a yorker. He though ends up slipping a high full toss on middle. The batter somehow keeps it out in the gap at mid-wicket and takes a run. The umpires want to check for the waist-high full toss. The third umpire watches the replay and decides that it has dipped in enough and is a legal ball.
Is that a no ball?

Doing it in singles. Sensible. Short in length and outside off, Mahidul Islam Ankon goes on his toes and steers it down to third man for one. 4 needed more.
