That is it from this game then! Sixers, Thunder, Perth, Renegades and Heat make it through. The Eliminator will be played on the 27th of January and it is a clash between Thunder and Heat. That game begins at 1345 IST (0815 GMT). Till then, take care and goodbye!
Chris Green, MAN OF THE MATCH!
Earlier in the day, it was a very professional show with the ball by the away side after electing to bowl. They managed to restrict Stars just for 120 but it was a struggle for them to chase it down but they somehow managed to get over the line and make it through into the play offs at the cost of Hobart.
We did mention the wicket was not easy and the Thunder batters did not find it easy too. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals and at one stage were five down needing over 50. However, it was their tail which came to the fore, the likes of Sams, Green, Nathan McAndrew and Ben Cutting played handy innings to help their side get over the line.
It is Thunder who go through! They struggled to chase a small score but in the end, have got over the line and that is what matters. Maybe, if Zampa would have taken Green, things could have well been different but that was not the case and in the end, it is the away side which has prevailed on top.
