Right then, that is all we have from this game. The CPL caravan now moves to Guyana and it will be Barbados Royals going up against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots on Wednesday, 21st of September. That game will start at 7.30 pm IST (2 pm GMT). Do join us for the build-up of that game. Till then, it's goodbye and cheers!
Kieron Pollard, the skipper of Trinbago Knight Riders says that that they would have loved to get some sixes early but in the end, the better team won this game. Adds that they did well with the ball and pulled things back nicely to restrict Kings to 147 but adds that they are disappointed with the result and they need to be better with their execution from hereon. Signs off by thanking the crowd for their support.
Faf du Plessis, the skipper of Saint Lucia Kings says that it was a great game of cricket and both teams played some good cricket and there was some bad cricket as well. Tells that with the wet ball, it was difficult and he felt that on this wicket Roshon Primus was a good choice. Mentions that the crowd has been fantastic and quite loud. He Credits Charles for the way he is playing and says that it is good to see that the player who is in good form is converting it into big scores.
Roston Chase is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH. He says they did not get the best start and that cost the momentum but they came back well. States he just try to bowl in the right areas and it worked well for him. Adds that, he felt 150 would have been a good score and then the bowlers backed it up. Mentions he just try to bowl in the right areas and it worked out.
Presentation time...
Earlier in the game, the Kings got to a decent total on a tricky pitch riding on another brilliant fifty by Charles and a great cameo by Wiese in the end. For knight Riders, almost all bowlers bowled well with Narine and Rampaul taking two wickets apiece. They would have hoped to chase this total down with the kind of batting line-up they have but could not cross the line in the last match in front of their home crowd.
Roston Chase was the star with the ball for Saint Lucia Kings. He took three wickets in the Powerplay and that was a game-changing spell from the off-spinner. The bowling in the death from Alzarri Joseph and Roshon Primus was also quite good and that has given Kings two crucial points from this game.
Knight Riders were hampered early in this chase as they lost three wickets inside the first four overs. Pollard and Seifert then steadied the ship and took the score to 70. However, Pollard departed at the wrong time and Seifert after playing a run-a-ball knock of 44 runs also departed. They still had Russell and Narine in the tank though but they were left a little too much to do in the end and also some indifferent running between the wickets by the pair cost Knight Riders this game. Had they converted those singles into twos, the result would have been different.
Saint Lucia Kings have pulled off an important win here and they now move to the second spot on the points table. For Trinbago Knight Riders, it is a disappointing result, they would have fancied their chances of winning this one at the halfway mark but have again faltered with the bat.

SIX! Over the fence but it does not matter as it is Saint Lucia Kings who get over the line! Roshon Primus bowls a legal ball, it is full and on middle, Russell heaves it over the mid-wicket fence for a biggie. THE KINGS WIN BY A RUN!

SIX! BANG! Russell finally connects with one but maybe it is a little too late. 8 needed in one ball now! Shorter and on middle, Russell swings and it sails over the mid-wicket fence. Roshon Primus just needs to bowl a legal ball.

FOUR! Not what Trinbago Knight Riders wanted! They needed a biggie. If Roshon Primus bowls two legal deliveries, Trinbago Knight Riders can't win! Length and on middle, Russell swings, it goes off the inside edge and down to the fine leg fence.

Just the one! 18 needed in 3. Three sixes needed in three balls. Outside off, Narine slices it towards deep point for one.

WIDE! Make that 19 in 4. Another one well wide outside off. Left alone.

NOT OUT! Nothing on it! This is full and well wide outside off. Sunil Narine looks to go over covers but misses. Dickwella wants it to be taken upstairs. Faf du Plessis does take it upstairs but the UltraEdge shows nothing. A dot though. 20 in 4.
