Dasun Shanaka say they could have done really well with the bat in the fag end. Adds he or Wanindu Hasaranga have to bat a bit longer. Reckons the environment is really good in the camp. Tells Dimuth Karunaratne brought his experience today at the top. Shares they will see whom to give the chances in the next match and find a winning combination.
Andy Balbirnie says he is disappointed as they could have started well with the bat. Adds Barry McCarthy bowled really well. Shares they failed to click with the bat but feels as a team they have to pick themselves up quicky and think  of the next match.
...Presentation time...
Dimuth Karunaratne wins the Player of the Match for his ton. He says he just wants to contribute to the team and that is his only goal. Adds the ball was skidding on in the start but he was waiting for the loose balls to hit it away. Reckons he sticks to the technique he uses in Test cricket and it helps him to score.
The odds were against Ireland. They were coming up against the Lankans who are in red hot form. Ireland though were sloppy with the ball. They did not take their chances and failed to execute their plans perfectly. In the end, gave away just too many runs. The start too wasn't the best with the bat and failed to build a stand. Harry Tector and Curtis Campher were impressive but it was never enough.
An impressive outing yet again with the ball for the Lankans. How good they have been in this tournament? How good Wanindu Hasaranga has been? Ireland though it is all over for them in this tournament. Sri Lanka posted a massive total with the bat. Dimuth Karunaratne with his ton, a fine knock from Sadeera Samarawickrama and later a superb finish from Dhananjaya de Silva helped Sri Lanka get over 300. Sri Lanka were loose to start with the ball but the seamers hit the right lengths to open the doors. Then once Wanindu Hasaranga and Maheesh Theekshana, Ireland were trapped in the spinners web.
