That is all from this game. A one-sided affair in the end in the Women's Eliminator. It will be a quick turnaround for London Spirit Women who have to turn up within 24 hours to play the finals. Join us on the 18th of this month at 6.45 pm IST (1.15 pm GMT) for the Final between Welsh Fire Women and London Spirit Women at Lord's. However, we still have the Men's Eliminator to follow up. Birmingham Phoenix will face Southern Brave shortly. Switch the tabs and join us there. Till then, cheers!
Georgia Redmayne is the Hero of the Match. She says that it feels truly special and they came into this game with great spirit and the opposition had the upper hand in their last few encounters but to get through to a home final feels wonderful. Adds that it is all about multi-tasking and having kept for 100 balls earlier on helped her as well with the bat. Mentions that her hand which was a bit bruised will be fine and she is ready for the final in front of the home fans.
...Presentation next...
London Spirit Women wouldn't have asked for a better performance. They adopted to the conditions really quickly. London Spirit Women opted to bowl first and after the first 10 deliveries from the seamers, they were quick to jump on the spinners who were getting more grip on the surface. Charlie Dean, Sarah Glenn and Deepti Sharma got the ball to turn and London Spirit Women managed to scalp wickets at regular intervals. Charlie Dean was the pick of the lot with three wickets. Later in the chase, Meg Lanning played her part in giving a quick-fire start to her team. She fell and Cordelia Griffith followed her in quick succession but then came the match-winning partnership for London Spirit Women. Georgia Redmayne along with the skipper, Heather Knight joined hands and added 74 runs. Both survived a couple of chances and made most of it. Heather Knight played the second fiddle while Georgia Redmayne scored an unbeaten fifty to help her team reach to the finals.
We expected an even contest and it could have been one had Oval Invincibles Women taken on the chances that came towards them in the field. We have lost the count of how many dropped catches there were today. Maybe the pressure was too big on Oval Invincibles Women who were not up to their best on the field and didn't help their bowlers who tried their best to build pressure on and defend the total but the fielding department really let them down today.
LONDON SPIRIT WOMEN WILL FACE WELSH FIRE WOMEN IN THE FINALS. They deserved to win today and we will have a new women's champion in The Hundred. They were the better team in all three departments and thoroughly deserved to play in the finals. A commanding performance from London Spirit Women who finish things off with 9 balls to spare.

FOUR! That's it, Georgia Redmayne has clinched the game for London Spirit Women and she will finish with a well-deserved FIFTY as well. Fractionally short from around the stumps and around off, Redmayne rocks back and just punches it with sweet timing and the ball goes through the gap at covers and into the fence. London Spirit Women WIN BY 8 WICKETS AND WILL PLAY A HOME FINAL AT THE HOME OF CRICKET!

Fired in, full and in the blockhole outside off, Heather Knight hangs back and jams the ball away towards cover.

Tossed up on middle and leg, Heather Knight uses her feet looking to loft it over mid-wicket but doesn't quite get to the pitch and ends up flicking it to mid-wicket.

FOUR! Almost there now London Spirit Women and Heather Knight has played a fine hand here. Tossed up, very full and around off, Knight sits down and plays a lovely reverse sweep, threading the gap between backward pointy and short third and picks up a boundary.
Hold in play! Sophia Smale injures her hand as he dives to her right and the physio is out to track her. Smale is walking off the field. Not much remaining in the game so it's better to not make it worse here. Alice Capsey to finish the set.

Tossed up quite full and around off, Georgia Redmayne pushes it out towards mid off and sets off for the quick single. The fielder is right on the edge of the inner ring and fires in a throw at the bowler's end but misses. The bowler, Sophia Smale who dived across on the follow-through seems to be in some pain as she landed awkwardly on the shoulder.

Nagging length, drifted into the off pole, Redmayne stays put and pats it towards mid on looking for one but is sent back and rightly so.
