Right. That is all we have from this game. We have enjoyed bringing the coverage of this series and we hope you have had fun too. The playoffs in the Indian T20 League are coming up next and the T20 World Cup is lined up as well. Check out our fixture pages to know when all the games go down. Cheers!
Aqib Ilyas is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH.
Earlier in the day, Oman were put into bat and they responded well by scoring 159 runs. Sri Lanka started the chase well but lost wickets in cluster in the middle overs. There was heavy dew on the ground which made things difficult for Oman bowlers and they failed to defend the score. As a result, Sri Lanka sealed the series 2-0.
Oman did leak some runs at the start of the innings but they came back well and chipped wickets at regular intervals. The spinners did go for plenty of runs but Mohammad Nadeem and Kaleemullah bowled well and kept Sri Lanka's batters in check. At one point, they were certainly in the driver's seat but they were not able to keep up the good work and the match drifted from the hosts. Oman bowlers fought hard but the excessive dew on the field didn't help them at all.
Sri Lanka did come out to bat with intent as Dinesh Chandimal got off to a great start but he could not carry on and was dismissed for 18. His opening partner, Pathum Nissanka also batted well but just as he was looking up the ante he perished and it was up to Sri Lanka's middle-order batters to tale their team through. The visitors had a collapse in the middle overs where they lost 3 wickets in a space of 8 balls and were in deep trouble. It was Chamika Karunaratne and Bhanuka Rajapaksa who got together and they ensured that there were no further hiccups. In the end, Sri Lanka managed to cross the line, thanks to some sensible batting by these two.
Sri Lanka have sealed the series 2-0 and they would be very pleased with this effort going into the T20 World Cup. Oman gave it their all but in the end they fell short and they would be a touch disappointed as at one point they had a good chance to run away with this game.

SIX! There is the winning hit! Chamika Karunaratne has played a good knock to see his side home. This is the slower ball, around off and middle, Chamika Karunaratne gets low, waits for the ball to arrive and then thumps this one over deep square leg, over the leaping fielder for a biggie. SRI LANKA WIN BY 5 WICKETS!
