New Zealand Women beat Sri Lanka Women by 8 wickets

That's it from this game then! Another game follows and it is a clash between South Africa and Bangladesh. Until next time, goodbye and take care!
Sophie Devine says it was a good effort. Credits Georgia Plimmer for the way she batted. Adds winning the game was important and NRR was secondary. States she wants to take it one game at a time and are looking forward for the next game.
Chamari Athapaththu says they aren't playing at their best. Adds they played a little better in this game but they were 20 runs short. Mentions the bowlers did well but they needed more runs. Ends by saying she wanted her team to play fearless cricket and they try to give their best.
Georgia Plimmer, PLAYER OF THE GAME, she says they have a plan as to how to go about in the Powerplay. Adds she tries to get her side off to a good start. Mentions she just backs her skills and she tries to give her best. Ends by saying the atmosphere in the team is great and they are pleased with their performance so far.
Sri Lanka were under par yet again! They were not up to the mark with the bat after getting off to a good start and then were poor in the field. There were far too many misfields and a couple of chances were put down too. In the end, they were beaten by a way better side.
Bates fell but Georgia Plimmer continued and along with Kerr put up a stand which more or less killed the game. Plimmer was the star with the bat with a half ton. She fell though soon after getting to the milestone. Devine and Kerr though ensured there were no more wickets to fall and they got over the line.
A thumping win for the Kiwis! They have bounced back strongly after going down to the Aussies. The win was actually set up by the bowlers. They did a really good job to keep their opposition to a low score. The openers then started off slowly but gathered pace as the game went along.
