Right then! That is all we have from this game and also from tonight. The action in the Abu Dhabi T10 League will continue on 1st December with two more matches lined-up. The first of those matches will start at 1800 Local time (1400 GMT). Do join us for those games. Till then, goodbye and take care!
Angelo Perera, the skipper of The Chennai Braves says that finally a clean game for them, they stuck to their plans and they had a good outing in their fielding as well. Adds on by saying that, they had a different plan coming into this game, credit to Ravi and Munaf, their experience has been vital. Ends by saying that, they have one more game to go, they would want to finish the tournament on a high.
Player of the Match, Bhanuka Rajapaksa says that it's better late than never and it was a much-required win before heading back home. Adds that this innings will also get him ready for the upcoming tournament at home. Mentions that T10 is a fast format and he has been batting for just 20 odd balls which is always a bit difficult.
... PRESENTATION ...
A sorry display of bowling from Northern Warriors sees them lose their seventh match of the tournament. Their bowlers just got bullied around the park by the opposition's openers. Northern Warriors did put up a under-par score on the board but the bowling performance should have been better as there was no intent shown by any of the bowlers, well apart from the ever-energetic Imran Tahir.
One might wonder what would have happened if Mohammad Shahzad and Bhanuka Rajapaksa batted like this during the whole tournament. One might also say it was a dead rubber but the truth is that these two have put on a real show here tonight. As Mohammad Shahzad hits the winning runs, both openers end up with amazing half-centuries. Bhanuka Rajapaksa played some very delightful shots tonight and Mohammad Shahzad did keep on getting batter. The Chennai Braves have got the monkey off their back and will be elated with the win here.
Well, well, well! The Chennai Braves have had to wait a long time for their first win but they thumped the Northern Warriors tonight as they win by 10 wickets! Where were they the full tournament! Northern Warriors will be thoroughly disappointed with this bowling display.
