Marizanne Kapp is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH for her all-round showing. She says that it was good until she got out and feels that cost them the game. Expresses disappointment on the loss. Shares that she loves bowling here and playing here at Lord's but unfortunately couldn't get the win. Tells that her plan is always to land the ball on the seam and when she does that, she gets a lot of movement. Ends by saying that the chat during the chase was just to stay in there and take it as deep as possible.
Earlier in the game, Marizanne Kapp wreaked havoc, exploiting the overhead conditions and pitch assistance to dismiss the top four batters of the London Spirit. The spinners then maintained the pressure, consistently taking wickets. Despite this, Deepti Sharma stood firm for the Spirit, steadily accumulating runs at one end and was dismissed for a well-made 44 runs. However, she couldn't carry her bat through to the end, and the team concluded their innings with a decent total of 113/9 at the end of 100 balls.
With only 6 runs needed from the last 10 balls, it seemed likely the Oval Invincibles Women would secure victory. However, credit must be given to the London Spirit Women for their exceptional fielding and execution of bowling plans. Their resolute actions managed to restrict the batting side, resulting in a thrilling tie.
Alice Capsey and Marizanne Kapp then steadied the innings, facing a few deliveries before embarking on a boundary spree that calmed their nerves and set a positive tone for the chase. Unfortunately, Capsey's dismissal triggered a turbulent collapse in the middle order, resulting in the loss of 4 wickets for just 13 runs. With the required run rate well under control, Marizanne Kapp forged a crucial partnership with Jo Gardner, adding 28 runs. However, Kapp’s dismissal came at a particularly inopportune moment. Just as victory seemed within reach for the Oval Invincibles, Deepti Sharma delivered a vital momentum shift, turning the game back in favour of the London Spirits.
Chasing a target of 114 runs, both openers for Oval, Chamari Athapaththu and Lauren Winfield-Hill, appeared tentative as the ball moved in both directions, creating a challenging start. Tara Norris and Danielle Gibson applied relentless pressure, which resulted in Norris dismissing the dangerous Chamari Athapaththu which was further capitalized by Eva Gray claiming the wicket of Lauren Winfield-Hill.
Wow, what a humdinger of a game we've witnessed! After all this action, there's absolutely nothing to split the two teams, and the match ends in a thrilling tie! However, the London Spirit Women will be the happier side, having successfully restricted the Oval Invincibles Women to just one run short of a win.

OUT! RUN OUT! We have another TIE in The Hundred! Oval Invincibles Women are absolutely distraught. Absolute joy for London Spirit Women as they have squeezed out a TIE out of nowhere. Coming to the delivery, this was bowled on a back of a length, over middle. Ryana Macdonald-Gay uses her feet to pull it away. Gets this one high on the bat and it lands in front of deep mid-wicket. Charlie Dean does well not to go for the catch and lets the ball drop in front of her. Collects it on the bounce and fires in a flat throw on the bounce to the keeper at the batting end. Ryana Macdonald-Gay is struggling to make her ground and the keeper, Georgia Redmayne does well to collect the throw to her right and disturb the stumps to catch Ryana way short of her crease.

Is that out? A good throwback to the keeper, and it looks like Charlie Dean has done very well to tie this game for her side. The replay shows Ryana Macdonald-Gay short of the crease and this game ends in a tie!
Two runs needed off the last ball! We have absolutely no fingers left! Can Danielle Gibson defend it?
