Babar Azam, the skipper of Peshawar Zalmi and the player of the match says he wasn't expecting the pitch to be this soft. They were looking for a score of 160. Adds he always tries to improve in each game and play according to the situation. Reckons the bowlers bowled really well today. Appreciates the way Saim Ayub bowled.
Shan Masood, the captain of Karachi Kings is in for a chat. Mentions they targeted their fifth win tonight, unfortunately they could not get over the line again. Informs that he is going to go back and talk about the start of the campaign when they won 2 off the first three matches, but then they just could not be consistent. States that if they would've ended on the right side of two close games, then they would've been in the top 4.
...Presentation...
This sums up the season of Karachi. They have lost games which they should and could have won. They have not been on top of their game in tense situations and today was the same as well. They would have loved to end the season on a high but will go home with a lot of disappointment.
Karachi Kings still had the game in control. With the likes of Pollard, Malik and Irfan Khan, you expect them to chase this down but in a sluggish wicket, it wasn't easy to bat and Zalmi got their best game when it mattered the most. Not on the word go but definitely when it mattered the most. Saim Ayub and Naveen-ul-Haq bowled really well in the middle phase. Luke Wood bowled an outstanding penultimate over and Aamer Jamal held his nerves in the last over.
Peshawar Zalmi have done it! They have secured the first place now but more importantly, Qualifiers 1 is guaranteed for them! What a game! The last four matches in the PSL has been absolute thrillers! A superb bowling display from Zalmi. At first, it felt like they were 10-15 runs short and top of that didn't start well but Zalmi knew they just need an opening to get back in the game. Peshawar Zalmi rattled three wickets in three overs and that started a comeback.

BYE! Aamer Jamal has done it. He follows the batter outside leg with a full one. Irfan Khan is left with no room. He tries to flick it away but misses. The ball sneaks through the batters and Mohammad Haris makes a sharp stop, only for the batters to collect a bye. A fantastic run chase comes to an end. Peshawar Zalmi win the match by 2 runs.

FOUR! A lucky boundary this time. 5 needed in 2 now. It is a full-length delivery, on the pads. Anwar Ali gets a thick inside-edge and the ball sneaks through his leg. It races away to the fine leg fence. This is going down to the wire. Can Anwar Ali get another boundary here?

FOUR! Anwar Ali with a timely boundary. It is full, angled into the pads. Anwar Ali goes back and flicks it behind square on the leg side. The fielder in the deep was much, much squarer and he could do nothing about it.

OUT! CAUGHT! What a penultimate over it has been so far. All about Luke Wood. He manages to get rid of the big gun. It is a slower one, full and on middle. Kieron Pollard hits it high up in the air, towards long on. Rovman Powell judges the ball really well and takes it cleanly in the deep. Anwar Ali is the new batter on the crease.
