Right then that is all we have from this game. Action in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Qualifier B continues on Thursday, the 14th of July where Zimbabwe will take on USA and Jersey face Singapore. Both matches will begin at 5 pm IST (11.30 am GMT) but as you all know our build-up will begin much sooner. Till then, take care and goodbye!
Sean Williams wins the MAN OF THE MATCH award for his exceptional effort with the blade. He says that it is awesome to be back with the side. Mentions he is glad that he has a great team around to support him and it would've difficult to win these trophies without their help. Adds they have great set of players and always aim to win every game. Adds they will take it one game at a time and hopefully it works in their favour.
Craig Ervine, the skipper of Zimbabwe says it is always nice to win 2 from 2 and credits the Jersey bowlers for bowling well. Confirms that the wicket was slower and gives credit to Luke for pushing them to a decent total. Says the team is prepared for the last game against a good team
Charles Perchard the skipper of Jersey is in for a chat. He says that they showed great fight in 20 overs. Adds he backed the team to chase it down. Says the boy are gutted. Further says the plan was to attack the spinners, but that was not the case.
Stay tuned for the presentation...
Earlier the Jersey bowlers had done well to restrict Zimbabwe to under 150 but their batters did not follow up that performance. Zimbabwe at the half way stage would have been disappointed with their batting effort. Sean Williams was the only one who looked good and if it was not for Luke Jongwe’s power hitting towards the end, Jersey might've managed to get over the line.
Zimbabwe will be very pleased with their bowlers as they looked unfazed defending this total. Ryan Burl was the pick of the bowlers getting 3 wickets for 13 runs in his 4 overs. All the other bowlers were accurate and never let Jersey get in front of the game.
Jersey started well but lost Nick Greenwood early on. Harrison Carlyon and Asa Tribe chose to preserve their wickets and tried to steady the ship but once Asa Tribe departed they lost wickets in quick succession. Since then the run rate started to creep up and Jersey were not able to push hard in the fag end of the innings. Benjamin Ward came in with intent but it was a little too late. Harrison Carlyon scored 45 runs but could not do the same briskly.
This has been a laboured performance by Jersey. Just as we expected, the quality of Zimbabwe was just a shade too much for Jersey to be able to close this game. Despite setting a low target, Zimbabwe looked in complete control as their bowlers were disciplined and never let Jersey get a move on in this game.

OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Importantly it is a dot ball to start the final over. It is a length ball, wide outside off. Harrison Carlyon looks to chase it with a wild slash. He only manages to get a thick outside edge and Regis Chakabva makes no mistake behind the sticks.

SIX! BANG! A slower bouncer, on off. Ward stands tall and smokes it over the square leg fence for a maximum. 28 runs needed off the final over. Can Jersey get over the line here?
