Guyana Amazon Warriors beat Jamaica Tallawahs by 46 runs

That is all from this game but the action continues in the Saturday triple-header. Trinbago Knight Riders take on St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the final game of the day. That one starts at 7.30 pm Local (11.30 pm GMT). See you there!
Earlier in the day, Guyana Amazon Warriors put up a challenging total of 169 runs on the board. They needed to improve their net run rate significantly and were able to achieve that. A brilliant second-half bowling display saw them thump Jamaica Tallawahs by 46 runs.
Nicholas Pooran, the skipper of Guyana Amazon Warriors is also the PLAYER OF THE MATCH, he says that he was looking to get a big score in this game and is glad that he got it. Adds that the surface was good for the spinners to bowl on. Says that players like Gudakesh Motie are putting their hands up and winning games for the ream.
Rovman Powell, the skipper of Jamaica Tallawahs, says that he has not been able to carry on after getting the start. Adds that they will look to improve on their errors and try and get over the line in the next game.
Jamaica Tallawahs were the makers of their own downfall. After the early wicket, Haider Ali and Kirk Mckenzie steered the ship a bit but both of them gave it away as they went back on consecutive deliveries. From that point on, no one really took on the mantle and played through till the end. The pressure just kept on mounting and all the big hitters perished. They will be disappointed with that batting display.
Guyana Amazon Warriors wanted a win by a big margin and that is exactly what they got. A dominant bowling display from them. Odean Smith was the star with the ball as it was he who broke the partnership between Haider Ali and Kirk Mckenzie to get both the set batters out. Smith, along with Gudakesh Motie picked up 3 wickets each and Naveen-ul-Haq picked up a couple right at the end. Other bowlers supported them well and it was a commanding display in the field as well. They will be happy with that performance.
What a show by Guyana Amazon Warriors! They were sensational throughout the game and have deserved this victory. Jamaica Tallawahs, on the other hand, would be disappointed with their show.
