Right then, that's it from the coverage of this game. The action in the PSL will continue on 8th March when Peshawar Zalmi will be locking horns against Quetta Gladiators. The first ball will be at 7.30 pm IST, but you can join us early for the build-up. Until then, take care and goodbye.
Faheem Ashraf wins the Player of the Match award for his all-round performance.
Karachi Kings bowlers had their task cut out, as they did not have enough runs on the board to defend. They certainly started positively by getting the early breakthroughs, but they could not keep the opposition under pressure throughout. Mir Hamza took a three-wicket haul, but was expensive as well. Blessing Muzarabani and Zahid Mahmood took a wicket each, but the rest of the pack could not provide with similar contributions.
To chase down 151 was never going to be an issue on this batting paradise. Islamabad United lost two wickets inside the Powerplay, but their batters batted very sensibly. They kept knocking the ball around and got some boundaries at regular intervals as well to keep in check with the asking rate. Alex Hales, Agha Salman and Shadab Khan all got off to good starts but could not covert it into a big score. Azam Khan fell early on just 9. Although, Haider Ali and Faheem Ashraf were enough to get them over the line with their match-winning stand of 36 runs.
WOW! GAME OVER! Islamabad United continue their domination over Karachi Kings in the PSL and they make it six wins in a row against them. A much-needed victory for them, as it helps Islamabad United to get back to winnning ways and most importantly collect two points from this outing as well.
