Earlier in the innings, India Women Under-19 were off to a flier. Thanks to the opening stand between Shweta Sehrawat and Shafali Verma. The skipper was the aggressor while Shweta Sehrawat played the second-fiddle. The two stitched a stand of 111 runs before the skipper departed. Later, Shweta Sehrawat remained at the crease till the very end to record her second consecutive half-ton. Richa Ghosh also played a solid cameo of 49 runs to take her side across the 215-run mark. Later, it just proved to be too much for United Arab Emirates Women Under-19 to chase it down.
India Women Under-19 come out on top quite comfortably. Shabnam MD was taken to the cleaners in the very first over, but she had the last laugh as she got rid of the opposition skipper. She was supported well by Titas Sadhu from the other end who kept things really quiet. The spinners then applied the brakes and never let United Arab Emirates Women Under-19 settle at the crease. The two new ball bowlers returned with a wicket each. Mannat Kashyap and Parshavi Chopra also chipped in with a wicket each.
United Arab Emirates Women Under-19 had a steep mountain to climb and they needed to attack from the word go. Their skipper, Theertha Satish just provided her side with the start they had envisioned, although she slipped out after scoring four boundaries on the trot in the first over. Since then, United Arab Emirates Women Under-19 could not keep up with the asking rate as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. They could only manage to get 97 runs on the board but they will surely take a lot of learnings back from this match.
It has been a pretty one-sided affair throughout the match and India Women Under-19 record consecutive wins in this competition. India posted a mammoth target on the scoreboard and UAE could get nowhere near it as they lose by 122 runs.
