Match Abandoned

Commentry
Right then, another game that ends in disappointment for the cricket-loving fans as the only winner here is the weather. The action in the Road Safety T20 World Series 2022 continues after a day’s break on Tuesday 27th of September. We have a double-header which begins with Bangladesh Legends taking on Sri Lanka Legends and that match will begin at 3.30 pm IST (10 pm GMT). After that, Australia Legends take on England Legends at 7.30 pm IST (2 pm GMT) but as always do join us early for the build-up. Until then, goodbye and cheers!
Bangladesh Legends started poorly with the bat but an onslaught by their tail-enders pushed them to a reasonable total. Pragyan Ojha took three wickets with Abhimanyu Mithun and Vinay Kumar chipping in with two each. The latter was outstanding as he conceded just 17 runs in his full quota of 4 overs. India Legends started off watchfully and lost Naman Ojha early but were just getting a move on when the rain decided to play spoilsport.
The game has been abandoned! What a disappointing end to the day! We have had cricketing action all through Sunday and just one over short of our second result, the rain gods have decided to ruin the party. The points will be shared here and Bangladesh Legends get their first points on the board albeit a washed-out game. India Legends are still unbeaten in the tournament but with three abandoned games, they are yet to seal the playoff spot.
UPDATE 10.15 pm IST (4.45 pm GMT) - Well, the inevitable has happened. The rain is pelting down now. The groundstaff is getting the covers on the field yet again. India Legends are currently ahead with the DLS par score. Let us see how things pan out. Hopefully we get some action soon. Stick around for more updates.
