Right, that is it from this game and Perth Scorchers have kept their brilliant start intact with another win. Next up is match number 10 between Melbourne Renegades and Brisbane Heat at the Marvel Stadium in Melbourne. That game will be played on Thursday 21 December and will begin at 1.45 pm IST (8.15 am GMT) but you can join us much sooner for the build-up. Cheers!
Jason Behrendorff is the Player of the Match for his four-wicket haul. He says that they love playing here and it gives them the opportunity to do well with both bat and ball. Adds that everything Chris touched, it turned to gold and he hit some clean sixes and it was tough to bowl at it. On Zak, he says that he did really well for them and for an international cricketer to come straight in and to the job is a big thing and Aaron too played well. Mentions that he is just enjoying his cricket and trying to execute his skills and ends by saying that they talk about basing the tactics around their strengths.
Hobart Hurricanes were poor with the ball, to be honest. They were quite wayward and bowled quite a few loose deliveries. Also, the wicket had eased out and hence, they did not get the same amount of help as the Perth Scorchers' bowlers did. Still, they'll be disappointed with how easily they let Perth get to the total. Earlier in the game, Hobart Hurricanes really fought back well with a rescue effort from Nikhil Chaudhary and Mitchell Owen and then Chris Jordan took them to a fairly big total with one of the knocks of the season but it just wasn't enough.
A thumping win for Perth Scorchers and they have made two in a row. We really thought this would be a challenging total but they have chased it down without breaking a sweat. They lost a wicket early but Aaron Hardie and Zak Crawley batted brilliantly. They really took the bowlers to the cleaners and chased it down quite convincingly. Both got fifties but Hardie, in particular was just sensational as he stayed unbeaten on 86 runs off just 45 balls.

That's it, Perth Scorchers have done it. Aaron Hardie hits the winning run and the crowd inside what they call the 'furnace' is roaring loudly for the home team. Short of a length over middle, Hardie pulls it away through square leg and picks up a single. A dominant display from the Scorchers as they win by 9 wickets!

WIDE! Good length, just angling down leg, Aaron Hardie misses the tuck and a wide is called.

FOUR! Lovely shot but lands just an inch or two inside the ropes. Pitched up on off stump, Aaron Hardie stays leg side of the ball and holds his shape before lofting it high and over wide mid off for a boundary.

Excellent cricket all around. Back of a length and outside off, Aaron Hardie chops the ball back past the deck as he looks to cut and Zak Crawley calls him through for a single. The keeper Ben McDermott scampers and dives in to under-arm the throw at the striker's end and hits the wickets but Crawley is well in. Just a hit away now Perth Scorchers.

Good length outside off, Aaron Hardie hangs deep and hammers it straight to extra cover.

Short of a length, angled onto the hips, Aaron Hardie picks it up and muscles it away toward deep backward square leg for a couple of runs. The 150-run stand comes up between these two, the first time it has been achieved on this ground as well in the BBL.

Nails the yorker now on middle stump, Aaron Hardie stays back and looks to hit it away but gets an inside edge onto the back leg.

Short ball over the stumps, this is pulled away behind square on the leg side for one run.

This is full and quick on leg stump, angling down leg. Zak Crawley goes for the lap sweep but misses and there's a deflection through to the keeper. Ben McDermott dives to his left and pouches it but nothing given by the umpire. The ball flicked the pad.
