Right then. That's it from the coverage of this game. The Big Bash League action will continue on Tuesday, as the Sydney Sixers take on Adelaide Strikers at 7.15 pm local (8.15 am GMT). But as you all know, you can join us early for the build-up. Till then take care and goodbye.
Kurtis Patterson, wins the Man of the Match award for his incredible effort with the blade. He says, he is happy about cementing his place in the squad even after Marsh and Inglis returning. Adds, he played a bit tentative and tried to get a bit funky but is glad it worked out really well for him. Mentions, he will have a scan tomorrow for his injury and hopes to have a positive outcome of it.
Earlier in the day, after election to bat, a superb innings from Kurtis Patterson and a late show from Agar helped Perth to get close to 170. Their bowlers defended it with ease on a slow wicket giving their side a thumping win.
We did mention 167 was a score above par and it proved to be a lot for Hobart Hurricanes. None of their batters got going. Nobody managed to score above 20 except for Ellis and Parker. It was yet another poor show by their batsmen. That department, despite having some big names, is turning out to be a worry for them.
For Perth Scorchers, they once again proved why they have one of the best bowling attacks in the tournament. All of them were on point. Tye was the pick with a three-fer but it was a combined effort. Also, Andrew Tye becomes the leading wicket-taker in this edition of BBL.
Quite a comprehensive win for Perth Scorchers yet again and they have done the double over Hobart Hurricanes. Also, now have three wins in the row. Quite easily they look the best side at the moment. They have also moved up to the first spot in the points table.
