Rovman Powell, the skipper of Jamaica Tallawahs says that it's a bit disappointing that they could not execute their plans in the last three overs. Further says that they were in control in the batting as well as King played well but they didn't reach the finish line. Adds that they don't need to panic and they still have a game in hand to qualify. Tells that they just need to keep the faith and have to go in the drawing room and make some changes and come with a bang in the next match.
Shimron Hetmyer, the skipper of Guyana Amazon Warriors says that he tried to be calm and if he would have lost his calm, it would have not gone well with the other players. Tells that it was Odean Smith’s day and he was just brilliant with both bat and ball. Odean Smith is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH for this brilliant all-round performance. He says that the wicket was very, very good and he tried to hit the ball hard. Further says that they were trying to reach 160 and it came down very close. Adds that they didn't get the start they wanted but they finished well. Presentation time...
Earlier in the game, Jamaica Tallawahs bowled quite well till the 17th over. Green and Nabi were quite impressive but they gave away 74 runs in the last three overs and that shifted the momentum in Guyana Amazon Warriors favour. They, then manage to held their nerves with the ball and have got a crucial win here.
The bowlers finally held their nerve for Guyana, it did get close in the end but Smith held his nerve. Before that, the spinners were really good. The likes of Tahir, Shakib and Motie were economical and got five wickets between them. Paul went the distance but they hung onto the win with Smith taking two wickets in the last over. However, we should not forget Gudakesh Motie who took some good catches and then was involved in the run out of Brandon King that sealed the deal for Guyana Amazon Warriors.
In reply, Jamaica lost wickets at important times. Just the one batter put up a fight and that was King who scored a brilliant century scoring 104 runs off the 166 his team scored. The others did not contribute a lot and this was way too much for a single batter to do. Had he got support, the result could have been different.
Finally, finally, a win for Guyana Amazon Warriors and they will be mighty pleased with their performance. Those runs from Smith and Paul has proven to be the difference. Let me remind you they were 7 down for below 100 but they managed to score over 170 courtesy some brutal hitting.

OUT! RUN OUT! It's all over! Jamaica Tallawahs has been bowled out for 166! Back of a length, around off. Amir tries to cut it but misses. The batters try to steal a bye but Gurbaz is quite alert as he collects the ball and makes an under-arm throw towards the bowler's end. Odean Smith collects the ball and whips the bails off as Amir is short of his crease which is confirmed by the replays as the leg umpire takes the decision upstairs. Much-needed victory this for Guyana Amazon Warriors as they win this crucial game by 12 runs!

OUT! CAUGHT! Two in two for Smith and Migael Pretorius holes out in the deep here. Smith hits the hard length again on middle. It is a slower delivery as well and Migael Pretorius pulls it aerially but does not get enough power behind the shot and Gudakesh Motie at deep mid-wicket takes another catch. Mohammad Amir is the last batter in.

OUT! RUN OUT! Gudakesh Motie again with a brilliant effort in the field and King has to depart. Great work from Gurbaz too to whip the bails off quickly here and now with 13 needed from 3 balls, the home team is looking set for a win here. This is a fullish delivery on middle. King whips it to deep mid-wicket. The batters try to steal the second run. However, Gudakesh Motie runs across to his left, picks it with one hand and fires a flat and sharp throw at the batter's end. Gurbaz gets near the stumps quickly, collects the ball and whips the baills off as King is short of his crease despite a big dive.

SIX! Brandon King gets to his century in style and more importantly he is keeping his side in the game here. This has been a top-notch knock from a very classy played. A shortish delivery on middle. King pulls it over deep square leg for a maximum.

Brilliant delivery and it is just a single! 20 needed now from the last over! Nails a yorker, outside off. King digs it out towards the off side for a single. He will retain the strike and he is on 97 now. Can he take his team over the line here?
