That's it from this match! We will be back with a double-header on 31st January as first, Chattogram Challengers will take on Comilla Victorians at 12 pm IST ( 6.30 am GMT) followed by Khulna Tigers vs Fortune Barishal at 5 pm IST (11.30 am GMT). The build-up will begin much in advance. Do join us for that. Until then, adios!
Without a doubt. Mrittunjoy Chowdhury wins the Man of the Match award for his Hat-Trick in the 18th over.
Naeem Islam, the victorious skipper of Chattogram Challengers, is in for a chat. He says, he is happy to start on a winning note as a skipper. Mentions, Haque was batting tremendously but he his really happy for Mrittunjoy Chowdhury. Adds, they kept his overs for the death and that served them well.
Mosaddek Hossain, the skipper of Sylhet Sunrisers, is in for a chat. He says that the last over proved to be very costly when they were bowling. Says that one cannot chase 200 every time. Tells that Haque and Ingram batted really well but Nasum bowled the 17th over well. Ends by saying that they still have 6 matches left and they will look to bounce back.
Stay tuned for presentation...
Earlier in the innings, It was the effort of Will Jacks and Benny Howell that made sure to cross the 200 run-mark. This number was always going to have a psychological effect on the chasing side and it was seen by the start, Sylhet Sunrisers got the first three boundaries of the edges. But late a crucial stand between Ingram and Haque got them back on track. Eventually they lost their grip and slipped out in the end.
What a game it was for Mrittunjoy Chowdhury – first he picks up a Hat-Trick and later makes sure to defend 24 runs in the final over. He single-handedly took his side over the game tonight. A special day for him. It was Nasum Ahmed who drew the first blood on his very first delivery of the innings but since then Ingram and Haque did not give the bowlers any sniff. Until, Mehidy Hasan got the better of Ingram, which was followed by a quick wicket of Babu by Nasum Ahmed. The spinners were having a nice day with the ball. But it was the magic of Mrittunjoy Chowdhury which changed the trajectory of the game in their favour.
A dagger through the heart! Sylhet Sunrisers still at the bottom of the points table. After losing an early wicket, it was necessary for the next pair to stitch a good stand if they needed to keep the chase alive. Well, to their luck, Ingram and Haque, stepped on the gas after a cautious start. Both the players knocked individual fifties, but Ingram fell soon after. Haque and Bopara took the game deep. It was in the 18th over when Haque decided to go on the attack but after scoring 10 off the first two, he fell out of the third. This wicket was followed by two more wickets and suddenly the Sunrisers were getting derailed. In the end 24 runs were needed off the last over. Sylhet Sunrisers lost the game by 16 runs in the end.
What a game this has been. Both the teams showed good fight till the end, but only one team could come out on top. This time it was Chattogram Challengers who got over the line. They move to the first place in the points table with 6 points.

FOUR! A good start to the over! Full and outside off, Mohammad Mithun opens the face of the bat and slices it to deep point for a boundary.
The Hat-Trick hero will bowl the final over? Will he able to defend 24 runs off the final 6? Or will the hero turn into a villian? Eveything on the line for the young bowler.
