Jamaica Tallawahs beat Barbados Royals by 6 wickets

So, that is it from this game! CPL action continues on the 1st as TKR take on Guyana. That game begins at 1000 local (1400 GMT). Till then, take care and goodbye!
Jamaica Tallawahs skipper, Rovman Powell, says the catch he took off his own bowling was the best one for him. Adds the batting was really good, to chase down 150 on this wicket was really good. States Lewis has been really good and he hopes he can continue his form. Informs Brathwaite is struggling with his shoulder but he hopes he can get fit quickly and bowl.
Barbados Royals skipper, Jason Holder, says the dew did surprise them, it did not play a major part, they just did not have enough runs on the board. Adds it is never good to lose so many wickets in the Powerplay but they did well to post a good total but credits the way Jamaica batted. Mentions Hayden has not been at his best and he hopes he can get to his best quickly.
MAN OF THE MATCH, Kennar Lewis, says he was enjoying himself and is happy he could help his team win. States he wanted to finish it early, he could not do it but he feels really good about the way he played. Adds he wants to express himself and hope the selectors do watch him.
Earlier in the day, after electing to bat, Barbados Royals were 30 for 4. Azam and Glenn Phillips then got things back on track with a solid stand. Khan scored a half ton and it was because of them his side got to a competitive total. That though was easily chased courtesy an outstanding innings from Lewis who was given good support by Brooks.
The bowling for the Royals was really good in the first half of the second innings! Especially Bishop was brilliant with a three-fer. The rest did not take wickets during that period but kept the pressure going. However, as the dew increased, it became difficult for the bowlers to grip the ball, there were far too many loose balls after that and also, the fielding was not upto the mark. To be honest, it just was not their day and they were outplayed by a better side.
A really good chase in the end from Jamaica! The good thing was, they never panicked. They did not get off to the best of starts as they were 3 down for just 50 and before the 10th over. However, then came the stand which won them the game, between Brooks and Lewis. The two added close to a 100 runs. Lewis showcased his power where Brooks was all class. The former fell right towards the end 11 short of a ton. Russell and Brooks though ensured there were no more wickets to fall and took their side over the line.

It stops as it nears the fence. Russell and Brooks thought it was going to the fence and initially did not run but then take two. SCORES LEVEL!

OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! End of Kennar Lewis! He does not get the ton but he has surely won his side the game with this knock. Too late for Barbados Royals but they have something to be happy about on a day where nothing has gone their way! A short one outside off, Lewis looks to pull, it goes off the top edge to the keeper who makes no mistake.
The physio runs towards him to have a look. The good thing is he is back on his feet but looks a little dizzy. Hopefully he is fine.

Ouch! That must have hurt really bard! Joshua Bishop, the fielder has been hit on his head! A short ball on middle, this is pulled towards deep square leg who runs to his left. The ball lands and due to the dew, skids through. It goes between his hands as he tries to field and hits him on the head. He is down on the ground. Two taken.
