Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka by 3 wickets

That's it from this game then, The season is nothing but over for Sri Lanka. The highlight of the match though will be the Mathews wicket which has already made the news everywhere. Whether it was in the spirit of cricket or not, it is up to you to decide. However, the verbal disagreements by the Lankans in both innings and the rivalry continuing with the Bangla players did shift Sri Lanka's focus off the game. Another game follows on Tuesday as Australia will be taking on Afghanistan. Join us on 2 pm IST (8.30 am GMT) and earlier for the build-up. Cheers!
Shakib Al Hasan says he knew dew would click in later on and they had to bat well. Luckily they got big partnerships and chased it down. Tells Towhid Hridoy and Najmul Hossain Shanto have the potential and they are backing them. Mentions one of their fielders came and told him to appeal about the time. Says it is in the laws but he felt like he was at war, right or wrong there will be debates but he had to take the decision. Tells the incident helped to show them more fight.
Kusal Mendis says they were 30-40 runs short. Adds there are few young players coming through and have shown a lot of promise. Reckons there were a couple of injuries to key players which made a lot of difference. On the wicket of Angelo Mathews, he says it was disappointing as he feels there were still a couple of seconds left but is disappointed that common sense was not shown by the umpires.
Shakib Al Hasan is the Player of the Match for his all-round performance. He says there wasn't much for the seamers but initially they bowled well and the spinners did well in the middle phase. They weren't upto their expectation but the belief was always there. Reckons he just hit through the line and luckily it came off for him. Tells they could have been more consistent in the tournament.
...Presentation next...
To be honest, 280 was never going to be enough and credit to the Bangladesh bowlers to keep them to that total. Also, A lot of credit to the middle order of Bangladesh to step up when needed. A complete performance from them.
For Sri Lanka, Dilshan Madhushanka was outstanding, he got them two early wickets but failed to get any support from the other end. Mathews got two wickets but it was too late by them. They needed to strike early but except for Dilshan Madhushanka, nobody hit the right lines and lengths. They got some hope late in the game but were always short of runs.
That's a thumping win for Bangladesh. Quite a dominating performance in the end. They've put on a clinical show here in Delhi. They weren't chasing a big total but it was surely a competitive one. However, they batted really well against the new ball. That has been their problem in the previous games but this time they were a lot watchful and also managed to score at a decent rate. Yes, they did lose Das and Tanzid in the first 10 overs but Shakib Al Hasan and Najmul Hossain Shanto were brilliant. They weathered the storm earlier on and then feasted on the conditions. Both scored fifties and added 100 between the two. Both fell in quick succession but they had done their job. The lower middle order of Bangladesh ensured they get over the line.

FOUR LEG BYES! NOT OUT! Full and slanting on the pads. Sakib misses his flick and it goes past short fine leg for a boundary. Sri Lanka take the review but just in desperation. That was always going down.
Sri Lanka have taken a review for LBW but that looks like going down. Desperation from the Lankans.
