Mominul Haque, the victorious skipper of Bangladesh, says that it was all about team work that helped them win this match, they put all their efforts into batting, bowling and fielding. On being asked about Ebadot Hossain, he says that he has been unbelievable for them and was just outstanding. Concludes by saying that it was important to win this game and they have to forget about this win and look forward to the Christchurch Test now.
Tom Latham, the skipper of New Zealand, says that Bangladesh outplayed them and credits them for the way they played. Adds that they were not able to put on a huge total on the board in the first innings and somewhere around 450 would have been a good score. Says that they are hurt but goes onto say that Bangladesh deserve to win this Test as they have played some outstanding cricket. Mentions that they will prepare well for the next Test in Christchurch and now they have got an idea about Bangladesh's bowlers and batters as well and hopes that they will put on a better show at Christchurch.

Tells that he has been working really hard with their head coach and it is paying off. Signs off by saying that his journey from volleyball to cricket is a long story and he is enjoying his cricket.
Stay tuned for the presentation!
The Word Test Champions have been defeated in their own backyard. Well, who saw that coming? New Zealand have been completely outplayed by Bangladesh. They started off well by putting a healthy total of 328 on the board, courtesy of a phenomenal century by Devon Conway. Henry Nicholls and Will Young made vital contributions as well. But their bowlers were not at their best, they failed to pick up wickets at regular intervals and also leaked quite a few runs. They had to toil hard to get Bangladesh all out. Coming into bat again, they could not repeat their performance. They kept losing wickets and were bundled out for 169, with a lead of just 39 runs in the second innings. New Zealand might have lost this game, but have another game to make amends and level the series.
A complete team performance here for the visitors. Four of their batters managed to go past the 50-run mark and that helped Bangladesh with a substantial lead in the first innings. Not to forget the contribution made by Mehidy Hasan as well. Talking about their bowling, Shoriful Islam and Mehidy Hasan grabbed 3 wickets each in the first innings. Skipper, Mominul Haque, also chipped in with 2 wickets at the end and dismissed the hosts for 328. Coming into the third innings of the game, it was all about Ebadot Hossain, who demolished the New Zealand batting order with his 6-fer. Taskin Ahmed was exceptional as well, as he scalped 3 wickets and helped his side bowl out the hosts. It was all too easy for them, they needed just 40 runs for victory, and they have chased it down by losing only a couple of wickets. They deserve every bit of this victory as they have been quite unreal in this game!
BANGLADESH WIN THE TEST MATCH AND LEAD THE SERIES 1-0. HISTORY HAS BEEN MADE! Bangladesh have pulled off something incredible here against the World Test Champions. They win their first ever Test match against New Zealand. This has been a sensational performance from the visitors. They have completely outplayed New Zealand and have certainly been the better team. A tough loss to digest for New Zealand as their 17-match unbeaten streak in Tests at home has finally been broken.
